Fitness Classes for Everyone
Check out these fun, unique workout experiences.

Fitness classes abound and it has never been easier for movement-hungry people to find a workout experience that appeals to them. Virtual fitness classes have expanded the available options for participants and instructors, making this moment a particularly exciting time to be a group fitness leader. Be inspired by the following fitness classes and come up with your own creative offerings—virtual, in-studio, outside or otherwise.
The be.Come project, in its own words, is a “body-neutral, “I-can-do-it, go-on-and-love-yourself approach to boutique fitness in an accessible, 25-minute routine.” Specifically, the workout, which offers a different 25-minute fitness class each week, blends the alignment principles of Pilates, the lengthening of yoga and the musicality of dance into one routine. Participants “flow through the right side of the body, bridge to the left, concluding with a high-energy finish.”
Keddlesthenics is “the art of using your own body weight in combination with kettlebells to develop an amazing physique.” Created by Kevin “KD” Wilson, this 30-minute, total-body fitness class combines a light kettlebell (5-15 pounds) with ancillary movements to create a comprehensive experience for all fitness levels.
Sydney Miller likes to motivate people to be “the best versions of themselves through movement and music.” The founder and creator of HOUSEWORK®, a full-body sculpting and conditioning workout set to the beat of electronic and house music, says that, at its core, this fitness class “is about the music, the energy, and of course the squad who pushes each other start to finish.” HOUSEWORK combines Pilates-based, rhythmic sculpting exercises with energizing cardio circuits that focus on flexibility, balance and core strength. The energizing fitness class uses body weight, light dumbbells and sliders to motivate attendees to move.
Physique57 creators tout that it complements running with high-intensity (but low-impact), barre-focused routines that strengthen the arms, abs, glutes and legs. According to the official website, the “secret” is “interval overload,” which the creators refer to as a “proprietary process that combines interval training (sprint and recovery) and strength training (targeted muscle exertion to maximize sculpting) through innovative and energizing exercise sequences.”
Tread Tabata is a high-intensity interval training workout taught “in an empowering environment.” Created by ACE-certified personal trainer Kathy Glabicky in 2011, this fitness class is structured by high-intensity, 20-second intervals where members of all fitness levels experience a 45-minute group workout that changes daily and is taught on the treadmill or bike, combined with full-body strength intervals performed on the floor. The Tread Tabata motto is “You can do anything for 20 seconds™.” “When people try Tread Tabata for the first time, they are hooked and love it,” says Glabicky. “We call it the ‘Tread Tabata High.”
