Cardiorespiratory Fitness Remains One of the Strongest Health Predictors
Cardiorespiratory fitness, often measured through VO₂ max, continues to emerge as one of the most powerful indicators of long-term health. Numerous studies show that individuals with higher aerobic fitness levels experience significantly lower risks of cardiovascular disease, metabolic disorders and premature mortality.
Unlike body mass index or body weight alone, cardiorespiratory fitness reflects how effectively the heart, lungs and muscles work together during activity. For fitness professionals, this reinforces the importance of structured aerobic training as a cornerstone of health programming.
