Hydration Isn’t Just About Water Anymore

Maple water

Summer heat brings a renewed focus on hydration, but the conversation has evolved. It’s no longer just about drinking more water—it’s about hydrating effectively.

When you sweat, you lose not only fluid but also electrolytes like sodium. Replacing both can help maintain energy, performance and overall well-being—especially during long outdoor workouts or travel.

This doesn’t mean you need specialized products for every session. For most people, water paired with balanced meals is sufficient. However, during prolonged activity or high heat, adding electrolytes may help support hydration status.

Practical tip: Pay attention to thirst, urine color and how you feel during workouts. Hydration needs are individual, and awareness is your best guide.
