2023 IDEA® Personal Trainer Institute
Registration and early bird pricing are open. Get ready to Train With Purpose!
It’s time to save the date for our first 2023 event—IDEA® Personal Trainer Institute in Alexandria, Virginia (March 9-12). Now that live events are back in a big way, we wanted to get this on your radar to consider as you plan for live education in the coming year. The registration link and Early Bird pricing are open!
At PTI, you will join hundreds of top personal trainers and subject matter experts who attend this interactive educational experience, which offers a deep dive into:
- the latest research about how to help people feel and perform their best;
- how exercise supports mental health;
- how to make your offerings and your facility inclusive and welcoming to all;
- new training methods and equipment;
- movement and nutrition science; and
- business strategies to attract and retain both staff and clients.
While in-depth, career-boosting education is the focus, there’s plenty more to gain from attending IDEA Personal Trainer Institute. In addition to choosing from more than 100 sessions—over 50% of them new this year—and earning up to 20 CECs (plus 4–8 more with pre-event intensive sessions), you can connect with old friends and make new ones; gain unparalleled inspiration and insight from the Opening Spotlight Session speaker Rick Richey, DHS (see below); and test the latest products and services from leading brands in the industry, offered at special discounted prices in our Sponsor Marketplace.
IDEAfit PRO SHOW Podcast Season 4 Is Launched!
I recently got a chance to catch up with our newly-minted 2022 IDEA Personal Trainer of the Year, Rick Richey, DHS. A self-described lifelong learner, Rick easily coaxed out the science geek in me with focus on some topics he’s been doing a lot of study on recently. Namely, 1. How you can exercise daily, but still be sedentary overall; 2. Inflammation: acute and chronic, local and systemic, and the discussion about RICE vs. MEAT; and 3. Program design and exercise selection for movement prep and workouts. Check in to see what’s on Dr. Richey’s mind about these in-depth topics.
There are literally hours of hard-earned wisdom shared in these podcast interviews, which you can listen to while you multitask. I invite you to catch up on the more than 60 interviews and panels I’ve done with industry leaders covering career advancement, business problem solving, program design and exercise and nutrition science.
Is there a fitness expert or researcher you’d like me to interview on the pod? Please send me your suggestions. Please also share your content needs with our team any time so we can better help you advance your clients and your business. We look forward to serving you every day!
Until next time, thank you for the important work you do to enrich the lives of people everywhere. Keep inspiring!
