Rest, Reflection and Gratitude

It’s hard to believe another year of serving this incredible industry is winding down. As we at IDEA reflect on all we’re grateful for, as ever, IDEA members are at the top of our list. On behalf of our team, we wish you a rich and happy holiday season, and we thank you for your continued belief in and support of our shared mission to Inspire the World to Fitness®!

During these busy holiday months, be sure to pause and look back at your accomplishments in 2019. Whether you succeeded alone or with a trusted team, celebrate both the big and the small victories, especially the stories of those countless individuals who inched closer to—or reached—their goals with your help. It’s vital that, as the hands, hearts and minds leading a profession of caring health and fitness leaders, you recognize and revel in all you’ve done to improve others’ lives. Doesn’t it feel stellar to be a part of the change you wish to see in the world? A toast and high-fives to you and all of your good work!

New in 2020

As our world becomes more digitally driven, we’ve reassessed our content delivery based on 2019 member survey data. You shared your thoughts about how we can streamline content to make you more efficient—and we listened. Starting in January 2020, we are adjusting the frequency of our issues to reflect the changing needs and desires (more time, please!) of IDEA members. You will receive Fitness Journal bimonthly (in January, March, May, July, September and November), and in the months in between (February, April, June, August, October and December), you’ll receive our new digital publication, Fitness Journal Digital Digest. Each edition of the new publication will contain up to 24 of the latest evidence-based news stories on general fitness, nutrition and behavior change and will be good for 1 CEC. Every print issue will be worth 1–5 CECs.

Our revised content format will continue to reflect our award-winning standards of coverage and will give you a front-row seat to the industry’s most relevant and practical content for your clients and your business.

We look forward to hearing your feedback! content@ideafit.com.

From our team to yours, happy holidays!
