Celebrating the Recipients of the 2026 IDEA Fitness Awards
Each year, our community comes together to celebrate the people who are moving the fitness industry forward. Those who inspire, educate, and lead with purpose. At the 2026 NIRSA+IDEA World Expo and Conference in National Harbor, MD, we proudly honored this year’s outstanding award recipients.
We’re thrilled to announce Dr. Judi Brown Clark as the recipient of the prestigious 2026 IDEA® Jack and Elaine LaLanne Award. Jack and Elaine LaLanne didn’t just inspire people to move…they changed the way our nation thinks about health, longevity, and what’s possible through fitness. This Award honors an individual who carries that legacy forward; someone who not only believes in the power of movement but uses their voice and platform to expand its reach, its relevance, and its impact.

“Receiving the 2026 IDEA Jack & Elaine LaLanne Award is a profound honor for me personally and for the National Fitness Foundation. Jack and Elaine LaLanne were true pioneers who inspired generations to see physical activity as a pathway to health, vitality, and human potential. Their vision reminds us that fitness is far more than exercise—it is a powerful catalyst for stronger individuals, healthier communities, and a better quality of life for all. Through my work with the National Fitness Foundation, I remain deeply committed to expanding opportunities for physical activity, inspiring young people to embrace movement, and advancing health equity so that every person and every community has the chance to thrive.”
