Totally Taken Care Of

San Diego–based exercise equipment manufacturer and IDEA World Fitness® exhibitor efi Sports Medicine has been lending its muscle to men and women in the armed forces by donating more than 150 of its Total Gym machines to troops stationed in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Luke Paulino, Private First Class with the U.S. Army 2nd Platoon, 792nd Chemical Company, wrote efi Sports Medicine to request a Total Gym for the platoon, which is located in a remote area without regular access to a workout facility. The 2nd Platoon is one of many U.S. Army and Marine units that have received Total Gyms since the United States got involved in the Middle East. “We are extremely grateful for efi Sports Medicine’s gift to the troops,” said Paulino. “[The] Total Gym has been getting 4–6 hours of use every day among the 37 of us.”
