With so many topics to choose from, you have a lot of opportunity to diversify and evolve your future in fitness. Says convention presenter Alex Isaly, a personal trainer who has appeared on the TODAY show and Jimmy Kimmel Live, “If I had to give one tip to any fitness professional, it would be to never stop learning and looking for new ways to master your skills. I consider myself a student of fitness. This is an industry that is forever evolving, and I believe it’s our responsibility to be at the forefront of that change for our clients.”
Isaly will present as a panel member on “Insider Secrets to Building a Brand From the Ground Up.” He is on the faculty for the IDEA Success Academy, “Make It Big and Make It Matter,” a new 1-day special event on Friday, July 17, that will bring the world’s most successful fitness and wellness celebrities together with expert marketing gurus to share secrets on how fitness professionals can get noticed, get heard and make money living their passion.
Isaly believes his personal career story is a good example of what can happen to fitness pros who leave their comfort zone and embrace the concepts that will be presented at the IDEA Success Academy.
“I am a walking testimony that you don’t know what opportunity could open doors you’ve never dreamed of experiencing. I started my professional fitness journey teaching three indoor cycling classes as a hobby as part of my own personal training program. In 2008, I decided to leave corporate America and make fitness a full-time career. I went out of my comfort zone and created a group exercise program that became very successful, very fast.”
Another lesson Isaly will share at the IDEA Success Academy is how to build confidence and ignore critics. “I was told that I should step away from teaching fitness, that I had no right being in this space,” he shares. “I could have listened to the naysayers and walked away, but instead [their comments] motivated me to work harder. I look at where I started my fitness career and can honestly say that if I can do it, anyone can!”
The IDEA Success Academy includes six sessions that focus on how to add additional streams of income and get paid more for your knowledge, experience and passion. As top leaders in the fitness, health and wellness arena reveal their secrets, personal experiences, and most valuable lessons learned, attendees will discover how to replace what these experts did to make it big.
The IDEA Success Academy is included with convention registration, but space is limited, so attendees are encouraged to sign up early. The experience is also available for purchase as a 1-day event. Other IDEA Success Academy presenters will include athlete and author Bo Eason, as a keynote; best-selling authors JJ Virgin, Mark Macdonald, Sue Hitzmann, MS, and Sara Gottfried, MD; self-healing expert Fabrizio Mancini, DC; Mike Koenigs, founder of the integrated lead capture and sales program Instant Customer; and Steven Griffith, creator of the High Performance Coaching program It’s Not Selling. It’s Serving®
