Why do I have little to no wieght loss
There could be many reasons why you are not seeing immediate weight loss. The first thing that I suspect is that you are not burning as many calories as you think you are. Or you are not eating as few calories as you think you are. There is some debate of the roll of other factors in weight loss, such as hormones and genetics. But in every well controlled study I have ever read, when the participants are unable to eat more than the program provides, they lose weight. I would suggest seeking the help of a Registered Dietician to help plan your meals. And then seek the assistance of someone that is trained in behavior change. If weight loss were easy, there wouldn’t be a multi million dollar market for weight loss programs.
Hello Alex Sanchez,
Thank you for your question.
It sounds as though you are making progress if your clothes fit better/larger. Do not worry about the number on the scale, that will come in due time. You are building muscle which weighs more than the fat you are losing. Slow and steady wins the race.
To make sure you are not hurting yourself while getting results, I would work with a personal trainer and/or registered dietitian until you are ready to work on your own, again. I cannot emphasize a balanced exercise and eating plan enough. Remember that you also need proper rest.
Take care,
Natalie aka NAPS 2 B Fit.
It sounds like you would benefit from a more balanced approach. A skilled Personal Trainer can truly assess your needs and how to address your goals. Any new fitness venture takes time before we see benefits, and they are not always visible on the scale! If not careful, you could be fast-tracking towards burnout and possible stress-related injury.
