I own a private personal training studio, and we are looking to add more Certified Personal Trainers who want to work as an independent contractor. What are the best resources to find trainers?

We use Craigslist. I am not sure how popular it is where you are located, but it works great in Northern California.

-Craigslist
-careerbuilder.com
-gymjobs.com
-any local newspaper or magazine
-LinkedIn if you have presence there

Hi Jenny. Harris gives some great advice on this question! I would add that another great way to advertise would be directly on the Job Boards of the various certifying agencies/organizations (e.g. ACSM, ACE, NSCA…). Almost all of them offer a jobs listing on their sites.

I would say that craigslist is the most popular place for people looking for a job.
