I’ve worked with people to lose up to 15lbs in 2 weeks and many, not all, have kept it off.
Permanent weight loss is highly correlated to actual lifestyle changes so it has a lot to do with the commitment of the individual!
Not everybody is capable of rapid weight loss in their current situation but as that person improves their life and health, even if gradually, they become more likely to be able to lose a pound a day for 2 week and keep it off!
Yes there are many things that affect a persons ability to lose weight sustainably. Some people are not yet ready for that kind of weight loss. As a person continually develops into a habitually healthy individual they become more capable of rapid and sustainable weight loss.
As for qualifications I am a nutritionist and health coach. I am certified by the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and I am currently in the Institute for Functional Medicine’s Functional Medicine Practitioner Certification Program. Not that it’s relevant to nutrition but I also have double majors from CU Boulder in Psychology and Economics so I understand human behavior pretty well and from 2 unique perspectives, Psychology and Economics.
I’ve been working with clients as their nutritionist and health coach since early 2013. I work with people to get healthy and if losing a pound a day is what the person wants to do then I help them do it, and I have more than once.
And, additionally, I admit I don’t have much formal education but I’ve had lifelong exposure to food and nutrition concepts and a half dozen years of research.

Personally, I had to eat the four to five pounds lost daily after working physically all day without a break. I do not condone this, it was the job at the time.
I am sure you have seen the less fit lose weight more quickly than the more fit. Also, if weight is the main concern, cut off the arm and/or leg not used…kidding…you get the meaning.
I do not concentrate on weight, we concentrate on healthy habits which lead to improved measurements.

I see this is an advertisement. You can makee all the claims you want, but it has been demonstrated time and time again that weight lose that you are tauting is not safe. The people following such diets will have unwanted effects over time and especially in their old age. You won’t be around for them then I imagine.
Any quick money player can take advantage of people. Organizations like ACSM, ACE, etc. can’t play it fast and loose. They will be around to face the backlash. You can tell yourself it is all good and sleep tight at night. But this is wrong.
