I use a facebook site for both my software and my gym…however I do not have a personal site. I am still trying to learn this as well! I guess the only thing that I would personally look for is good content and updates for promotions. As a consumer, I would also appreciate a lot of post interactions with other facebook users.
Great question. I hope to get more feedback on this question too!
I don’t use Facebook when I’m searching for other trainers or gyms. I go to their web sites and what I look for is clarity, easy navigation and good content. If the web site doesn’t look very professional and well maintained, it can affect the way other people perceive you and/or your business. It’s more like a window to your business.
If I get to check any Facebook pages, then I look to see what other people have to say about that business and the information that is posted there (updates, comments, etc.)
I hope this helps.
I am a Facebook ignoramus. I have an account but always wonder why.
I use my web site as my virtual shingle in addition to the IDEA FitnessConnect profile. That way I have control over the content and have only so many places to update.
I made my own web site and make sure that I always keep it updated, particularly since I have a schedule on it.
