you may get lucky that a potential employer will pay for part of it. Most do not; some may subsidize your CeCs. There is no ‘organization’ that I know of that will pay for it. They have little incentive because you could take your certification and run.
As pertains to the Y some Ys do offer training, however it is generally Y specific training, rather than you take a national certification you choose and they pay you back. On occasion they may have a specific program they will pay to have you attend, but again, that is usually due to a Y need that they will offer. I have had some of these trainings and my experience has been positive. If you have a real desire to teach a population that includes members who really need your help, it is a nice added benefit, though I think having a national certification is always a good idea.
