Foundational strength is often overlooked due to the popularity of functional corrective exercise, HIIT, explosive speed and power work and heart rate-based training. In this session, we’ll look back to critical foundational movements for max strength, endurance and hypertrophy. We’ll explore their role in physical performance and weight loss and why it’s time to reintroduce these movements into client training sessions. You’ll leave with strategies to build year-long programming and progressions and where to include the basics.
