Motherhood is a journey like no other. With the birth rate continuing to increase, it is time to empower all moms to find their strength in motherhood. FIT4MOM, the leader in pre and postnatal fitness franchising, debuts its first-ever fitness certification course for the public. The new FIT4MOM Pre & Postnatal Foundations Program provides fitness professionals with tools to connect deeper with their pre and postnatal clients at every age and stage of motherhood. This course breaks down the science behind training the female mind and body and provides in-depth pre- and postnatal fitness education. After completing this advanced certification course, fitness professionals will feel confident in their skills to help moms thrive in all movement styles, training, classes and life. Participants will:

• Learn how pregnancy affects the female body and mind during each trimester
• Discover how exercise can assist in relieving discomforts during pregnancy and provide physical and mental strength for birth preparations
• Experience multiple exercise variations and modifications designed specifically for pre- and postnatal clients
• Learn how to effectively cue and communicate with women to foster a healthier relationship with exercise while dispelling common myths surrounding appropriate movements for mothers
• Understand how to develop safe, effective and fun exercise programs that meet each client's physiological and psychological needs

All participants will receive an IDEA Certificate of Completion.

This 4-hour skill-building workshop takes the latest research on the links between exercise and mental health and translates it into tools you can incorporate into your fitness training today. From motivation and behavior change to specific recommendations you can make to elevate mental well-being, you can enhance your physical fitness training by recognizing and harnessing the links between mind and body. 

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:

Describe three ways exercise affects mental well-being

Inquire about client mental wellness ethically and effectively

• Explain the difference between mental health and mental wellness
• Explain the ""ecosystem of mental well-being"" and be able to use it with clients
• Be ready to employ five ways to recommend specific mental well-being practices for clients

All participants will receive an IDEA Certificate of Completion.
