In addition to his work with elite young athletes, Craig implemented the SPIDERfit program and taught physical education for underprivileged schools in South San Diego. Louis van Amstel is a grand slam three-time World Latin Dance Champion. He is best known for his nine stunning turns on Dancing With the Stars with celebrities such as Kelly Osbourne, Priscilla Presley, Niecy Nash and Sabrina Bryan. Louis is an Emmy nominated choreographer and regularly choreographs for So You Think You Can Dance and Dancing With the Stars. Louis now focuses on his fast growing dance fitness program, LaBlast® Fitness and his activewear clothing line LVA Lifestyle.
Sandra Van Gilder, DPT, has been a physical therapist and trainer in the San Diego area for more than 13 years and is a co-founder of Longevity Physical Therapy. She has a passion for teaching her patients and clients functional movements to restore health, prevent injuries and enhance performance. Her most recent project is to bring a fresh, new therapeutic approach to small-group and group exercise classes, a program that empowers group instructors to treat and prevent injuries, as well as enhance the health of their class participants.
Helen Vanderburg is the owner of Heavens Elevated Fitness and Fusion Fitness Training™. With over 30 years of experience in club management, program development and motivational speaking, she brings a wealth of experience to her presentations worldwide. Shana (Martin) Verstegen is the fitness director at Supreme Health and Fitness in Madison, WI. Jamie Wheal is the executive director of the Flow Genome Project, and is an expert in the neuro-biology of high performance leadership and training. He trained in surf, mountain and swift water rescue, served on ski and beach patrols, and was a Wilderness EMT and mountain guide in the Rockies, Sierras and Himalayas. Jenna Wolfe is a certified personal trainer, health and wellness expert, and mom to two little girls. Most recently, she was the first ever lifestyle and fitness correspondent on NBC’s TODAY show. Prior to joining NBC News in 2007, the self-proclaimed daredevil and thrill seeker spent 12 years as a sportscaster. When she’s not running (and squatting and lunging and bear-crawling) a million miles an hour in one direction, she’s usually (and happily) doing it in another. Jenna lives in New York City with her partner Stephanie Gosk.
Dahrio Wonder is a dancer, choreographer and instructor. He has performed and worked with Britney Spears, Madonna, Jamie Foxx, Kevin Hart, Ying Yang Twins, Wisin, An’gela Winbush, and the late salsa legend Celia Cruz. Dahrio has performed on various television programs including the American Music Awards, the Latin Grammy Awards, NFL Kickoff and MTV. In 2012, Wonder joined the Gina & Tanya Zumba® tour as the featured music artist, touring cities throughout the U.S. and Canada. Most recently, Wonder has teamed up with Zumba Fitness to write and perform many of Zumba Fitness’ biggest records for their DVD volumes, marketing campaigns and annual conventions.
Kari Woodall, a former U.S. National Team swimmer and collegiate swim coach, has trained at the highest levels and coaches others to do the same. She uses her knowledge about the power of the body, physical training and mental toughness to help fitness enthusiasts perform as athletes. Kari is a senior instructor for TRX® and a volunteer firefighter, and she owns Woodall Training, a group training and boot camp studio in Middleton, Wisconsin.
Holly Wyatt, MD, is an associate professor in the department of medicine and division of endocrinology, metabolism and diabetes, at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora, Colorado. She is a practicing physician and clinical researcher at the Anschutz Health and Wellness Center and is the medical director for the wellness clinic. With more than 18 years of clinical experience in weight reduction, Dr. Wyatt became the medical director for seasons four and five of ABC’s TV show, Extreme Weight Loss. Dr. Wyatt has spent much of her career following more than 10,000 “successful losers” to investigate what makes people successful during their weight loss journey. She shares much of what she has learned in her new book, State of Slim, co-authored by James O. Hill, PhD.
