IDEA® is proud to partner with NSCA to introduce the industry’s first medical and dental health care program for our fitness professionals.

We have plans that fit you and your family’s health coverage needs. We give our partners control in deciding the level of their medical plans while also participating in partnership databanking activities. Partners have access to benefit plans that offer doctor visits, labs, diagnostics and prescription benefits as well as the option to add a supplemental plan that offers emergency room coverage, hospitalization, and therapeutics. Other benefits, like dental plans, are also available to partners.

What does this plan cover?

There are four medical and two dental plans available. For a more in-depth list of benefits coverage, limitations, and exclusions, refer to the Schedule of Benefits on the enrollment site.

Ease Primary – This plan has a $0 deductible and is meant to cover preventive and prescription benefits.

  • Preventative and Wellness Care for a $0 copay
  • Preventative Prescriptions at $0 copay
  • ACA requirements for Minimal Essential Coverage
  • Additional Prescription Plan
    • Tier 1 = $0 (Over 200 drugs)
    • Tier 2 = $10 (Or less)
    • Tier 3 = $25 (Over 600 drugs)
    • Tier 4 = $50 (Or less)
    • Access to over 600,000 pharmacies
  • First Health and Multiplan Network

Ease Premium –This plan has a $0 deductible and is intended to encompass “everyday” bumps and bruises, Doctors’ Visits, Urgent Care, and Labs. This plan includes all the benefits listed in the Ease Primary plan.

Ease Silver – This base plan has a $0 deductible and is designed to help cover Doctors’ Visits, Hospitalization, Surgeries, Emergency Room, and Pregnancy. This plan includes all the benefits listed in the Ease Primary plan.

How much do the plans cost?

The pricing for the plans can be found on the enrollment site.

When can I enroll? What are the term requirements?

Members can enroll year-round through the enrollment site. Please note that the calendar year deductible resets every January 1.

Are there options such as family vs. individual plans?

Yes. There are four tiers of coverage: Member-only, Member and Spouse, Member and Child/Children, and Member and Family.

Can the policy be extended to IDEA business members and their businesses?

Yes. Anyone Can join the partnership plans, including sole proprietors, employees and independent contractors.

Does this plan offer vision or life insurance plans?

No. Vison, life and accident plans are not available at this time. We anticipate making them available to you in the near future. 

What is the likelihood of a premium increase? When would we likely see rate hikes?

If rates increase, it would be on the calendar year. The goal is to keep price static.

How do I enroll and select plans?

What are the enrollment dates?

For more information and to enroll, just enrollment site. Enrollment is open year-round, which means you can enroll at any time. You also can terminate your enrollment at any time throughout the year.

Do I need to be a member of IDEA to enroll for insurance?

No, anyone is able to join the partnership through IDEA Health & Fitness Association.

What if I am currently covered by another plan but I want to choose this plan instead?

If you would like to enroll in the medical plans, you are able to do so. With regard to obtaining instructions on how to terminate your existing coverage, everyone is different, but we recommend reaching out to your human resources or insurance representative or calling the number on your ID card for more information.

What if I am laid-off or furloughed: Am I still eligible to participate in these plans?

Yes. Your current job status does not matter. Anyone is able to join.
