During stability ball training, deep abdominals work out of sheer necessity, assisting the body to balance. For this reason, Pilates is perfectly suited to the ball. With a focus on correct cuing and attention to detail, this fresh workout replicates Pilates mat and studio exercises in a variety of positions on the ball to increase their intensity and effectiveness. We will also discuss progressions and modifications for building a dynamic class, and address the needs of both Pilates and group conditioning participants.
