Recovery nutrition is a vital component for athletes and active individuals. Carbohydrates and protein post-exercise do play a key role, but there are several other nutritional strategies that provide benefits for reducing exercise-associated muscle damage and inflammation, decreasing muscle soreness, regaining full muscle function in the days after very strenuous exercise, and improving rest and sleep. This session will elaborate on each of these and provide practical advice on how to implement these new strategies with your clients.
