Sylvia's Success Story

Sylvia decided to get into shape and achieve her healthy weight in January 2010. Through hard work and clean eating, Sylvia has reached her original goal weight, losing 52 pounds. The even better part of Sylvia's success is her recent physical check-up where her doctor ran tests to discover she is no longer diabetic and her blood pressure has lowered and is in a very healthy range! Sylvia feels better about herself, both physically and mentally. She is continuing her journey, transforming herself into an amazing athlete. I know she will achieve anything she sets her mind to. I am so honored to be a part of her life and look forward to every training session we share. Amazing advances, Sylvia!

What is the best compliment you have received?

You look so skinny in those jeans!

What advice do you have for others wanting to lose weight?

If you put in the hard work, you will see the results. It's tough to lose weight, but you can always find ways to keep yourself motivated. Get help from friends and family that you know will be supportive. Realize that you are making a lifestyle change.

What are your keys for success?

1 - Keep track of the number of calories you are eating.
2 - Exercise consistently.
3 - Set clear and precise objectives.
4 - Keep yourself motivated.
5 - Celebrate your accomplishments.
6 - Learn from your mistakes and move on.
7 - Drink plenty of water.

What has changed in your life since you became fit?

My diabetes is gone. It's hard for a doctor to say that your diabetes is gone from one check-up, but my numbers are those of a normal person. My self-esteem and confidence have greatly improved. I have a lot more energy. I don't get winded climbing up one flight of stairs. It feels great to buy size 10 clothes rather than 16. Overall, I just feel great.
