721 Exercise Programming for the Lumbar Spine—A Research Update (LES MILLS Lab Learnings)

Disability due to back pain has risen by more than 50% since 1990. In this session, we summarize the latest findings on factors contributing to this increase and explore implications for exercise programming. We will also discuss recent research exploring core activation patterns observed during commonly prescribed exercises and what influence these have on the lower-back pain sufferer. This session will provide participants with an enhanced understanding of exercise principles when dealing with this ever more prevalent condition.
