Your clients are transitioning from their young, bullet-proof selves into an older, more physically vulnerable cohort. This critical period of change includes higher rates and volumes of muscle loss, plus increased incidence for injury and illness. How can you help them stay ahead of this sarcopenia curve? Doug will share research from his lab on the role of protein in developing and maintaining lean muscle mass for performance and healthy aging. He will focus on the importance of protein quality, quantity and timing of consumption in the regulation and maintenance of muscle mass and function for clients 50 and older.
