Integrated movement patterns require a transmission of forces whether the movement is initiated from the ground up or top down. In either case, the forces are either transferred or mitigated and must pass through the central unit. This principle prompts discussion of how the great toe, foot, ankle, hips, torso and arms are all part of a woven matrix that is actually part of the core. Learn how limitations in these regions can create deficits in the central unit function. You’ll leave this session with strategies to enhance core function by changing body angles, and with an understanding of the fascial relationships that functionally feed the core.
