Shifting is described as moving a mass horizontally against a field of gravity. Most of the time, strength programs are solely focused on lifting strategies—moving a mass vertically in a field of gravity. While this offers many training and adaptation benefits, it is incomplete. In this session, we will discuss the merits of shifting drills and review biomechanical information to support this training. You will also learn many ViPR® shifting drills to increase foundational and sport strength.
