Bodybuilding, hypertrophy training, weightlifting…these are all terms that may sound intimidating and conjure up images of masculine, muscle-bound physiques. But lifting weights is a body-shaping solution that I encourage all women to embrace! This session is designed to dispel myths that typically discourage women from embracing weight training, and give solid advice about strength training and how it can positively affect weight management and body transformation. Strength training for increasing muscle size is what’s necessary if improving metabolism and body composition is a goal. Let’s talk program design and discuss how strength training can improve our muscle quality, hormone balance and even carbohydrate tolerance.
