San Diego – October 31, 2022 – IDEA Health & Fitness Association, the leading organization of fitness and wellness professionals for 40 years, announces the success of IDEA® KOREA 2022, held at the Korea International Exhibition Center, also known as KINTEX, Ilsanseo-gu, October 21-23. More than 2,000 fitness experts, wellness entrepreneurs and fitness enthusiasts attended the event, hosted and organized by the Korea Beauty Arts Promotion Agency and IDEA® KOREA.

This year’s gathering featured 100 presenters from around the world and 150 education sessions, as well as opening ceremonies and fitness awards. The sessions and workshops showcased the best of what international fitness leaders offer, including insightful and practical professional education in categories that fitness consumers are most interested in: Personal training, group exercise, Pilates, yoga, rehabilitation, business and marketing, special populations and more. This regional event is closely related to IDEA’s long-standing and successful fitness conference, IDEA® World Convention, which will be held in Los Angeles on July 12-16, 2023.

The 3-day conference, themed “Reopen,” highlighted how essential fitness professionals are to the ongoing health and wellness of the world, and extended IDEA’s gold-standard education to East Asia and beyond. This year’s highlights included:

  • The Mega Event/Expo Showcase, which featured unique new fitness offerings.
  • The latest in whole-body fascia pain management education.
  • Advanced circuit-training methods.
  • In-depth sessions on sales strategies for fitness facility management.
  • Advanced Pilates workshops for special populations.

This year’s speakers included 1998 IDEA Personal Training of the Year and 2006 IDEA Program Director of the Year, Sherri McMillan, Msc., Marc Coronel, Brian Ritchey, Fitness Achievement Award of the Year winner Dokyun Kim, and many other respected global fitness and business experts who shared immediately accessible information, which is one of IDEA’s hallmarks. Other award winners this year include Ihyun Kim, Fitness Leader of the Year, Seunghyeon Kim, Fitness Innovator of the Year, and Suyeon Roh, Inspirational Fitness Educator of the Year.
