The 3-day conference, themed “Reopen,” highlighted how essential fitness professionals are to the ongoing health and wellness of the world, and extended IDEA’s gold-standard education to East Asia and beyond. This year’s highlights included:

  • The Mega Event/Expo Showcase, which featured unique new fitness offerings.
  • The latest in whole-body fascia pain management education.
  • Advanced circuit-training methods.
  • In-depth sessions on sales strategies for fitness facility management.
  • Advanced Pilates workshops for special populations.

This year’s speakers included 1998 IDEA Personal Training of the Year and 2006 IDEA Program Director of the Year, Sherri McMillan, Msc., Marc Coronel, Brian Ritchey, Fitness Achievement Award of the Year winner Dokyun Kim, and many other respected global fitness and business experts who shared immediately accessible information, which is one of IDEA’s hallmarks. Other award winners this year include Ihyun Kim, Fitness Leader of the Year, Seunghyeon Kim, Fitness Innovator of the Year, and Suyeon Roh, Inspirational Fitness Educator of the Year.

We will continue to offer content and programs that encourage people to stay active, healthy and well.”

“I am excited to be back in South Korea for this important event and to celebrate with all of you as your clubs and businesses “reopen,” said Amy Boone Thompson, CEO and owner, IDEA Health & Fitness Association. “IDEA has thrived for 40 years because it belongs to all of us.
