Spas that provide exercise programs and facilities will continue to add more yoga and more “spiritual or mind-body” offerings, according to the International Spa Association’s 2004 Spa Industry Study. The study results, based on responses by spa owners in the U.S. and Canada, project that yoga will become the most popular exercise program, offered by 89% of all spas that provide exercise sessions. The study also projects that spiritual or mind-body choices will increase, with 65% of facilities providing this type of programming in the next 12 months. Twenty-seven percent of all types of spas reported offering exercise programs and facilities as part of their spa experience.
