Article Index 2007

Find the information you need to inspire yourself and your clients in our easy-to-use annual index.

A strong benefit of IDEA membership is the top-notch, timely information you glean from our publications. Every article is assigned, edited and vetted in a rigorous collaborative process shared by our editors, authors and other contributors. The magazines and newsletters you receive feature authors with that rare combination of academic and experiential knowledge that you can apply in your work tomorrow. This index can help you rediscover something you’ve forgotten or reveal topics you may have missed in the past year.

As a benefit of membership, IDEA members have access to all these articles at no charge on the IDEA Article Archive (www.ideafit.com). Once you have found the article you want, click the link and log in with your last name and member number. Call the IDEA member services department at (800) 999-4332, ext. 7, or (858) 535-8979, ext. 7, to request back articles, to see which issues are available or to find out how you can subscribe to other IDEA publications. If you are interested in multiple articles on a given topic, please inquire about our Resource Series books.

Please note that this will be the last year we publish this index in IDEA Fitness Journal. It will appear only on www.ideafit.com beginning in 2009.

How to Use This Index

The majority of articles found in our 2007 publications have been indexed according to the articles’ specific content, categorized by subject and listed in alphabetical order. However, due to space constraints, certain articles appear under more general headings. For example, for an article discussing a particular disease (e.g., arthritis or cancer), look under the general heading “Disabilities and Diseases.” We have cross-referenced some topics to help you find information more easily. News items are listed only once.

All subject headings and categories used in the index are listed below. It may be helpful to become acquainted with these categories before beginning your search. For your convenience, an “Index Key” explaining the abbreviations and symbols used is repeated throughout the index.
