The National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine released an analysis of survey data showing that more than 1.6 million American adults use a form of complementary or alternative medicine to help them sleep. The most popular forms of self-care are mind-body therapies such as relaxation techniques or herbal remedies. Survey data revealed that more than 17% of American adults had reported trouble with sleeping or insomnia within the previous 12 months.
