Learning Objectives

  1. Identify the postural challenges that pregnancy can bring.
  2. List 2–3 examples of stabilization exercises to combat postural challenges.
  3. Identify the connection between the gluteals, the 3-dimensional core and the pelvic floor.
  4. Develop an exercise sequence to enhance stability at the lumbar spine and pelvis.
  5. Develop an exercise sequence to enhance mobility at the lumbar spine and pelvis.
  6. Describe when stability is needed vs. mobility in activities of daily living (ADLs).
