Air Travel

The San Diego International Airport (SAN), which is approximately 3.5 miles away, is the closest airport to the San Diego Convention Center. The estimated taxi fare is $20 one way. The estimated Uber/Lyft fare is $10 one way.

Ground Transportation

Ride Share

Several companies offer ride share services at San Diego International Airport. Travelers can be picked up and dropped off curbside at both Terminal 1 and Terminal 2.

Designated ride share passenger pickup locations are listed below:

  • Terminal 1: Exit baggage claim via the escalators, walk across the Sky Bridge toward Ground Transportation and the parking lot, and exit down the escalators toward the parking lot. The location is at the foot of the escalators along the sidewalk.
  • Terminal 2: Exit baggage claim and proceed toward the elevated departure roadway. The location is between American and Delta/United check-in. Look for the red umbrella.

Taxi Service

Many companies provide taxi service at San Diego International Airport. If you need a taxi, simply follow the signs leading to the Transportation Plaza. A Customer Service Representative will place you with the first available taxi, unless you specify a particular taxi company.

Car Rental

Find car rental pick-ups and drop-offs for companies serving San Diego International Airport at the Rental Car Center. Free dedicated shuttle busses run continually to take customers between the airport terminals and the Rental Car Center. The Rental Car Center is at:

Terminal 1: After claiming your luggage, follow the signs to the Sky Bridge toward Ground Transportation. Proceed to the "Shuttle for Hire Island" and ask the Customer Service Representative for a SuperShuttle van.

Terminal 2: After claiming your luggage, exit the Terminal 2 doors; cross the street using the cross walk to the "Shuttle for Hire Island" ask the Transportation Coordinator for a Supershuttle van.

Amtrak and Coaster

Travelers headed to and from San Diego International Airport can connect with Amtrak's Pacific Surfliner and the Coaster at the Santa Fe Depot station downtown.

$3 Waterfront Summer Shuttle

The Port of San Diego’s Waterfront Summer Shuttle has been implemented by the Port, and managed by Ace Parking, to connect visitors of San Diego Bay with the waterfront and its businesses. The Shuttle runs on a loop (approximately every 20 minutes) from Sheraton Marina to Harbor Dr. Bridge, with stops in between.

San Diego Convention Center

The daily parking rate at the San Diego Convention Center is $15. Parking fee is for one entry only (no in–out privileges). No overnight parking is permitted.

Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego

Daily self-parking rates are $8 per hour, with a maximum of $35. In-out and overnight parking is permitted.

Marriott Marquis Marina Hotel

Daily self-parking rates are $10 per hour, with a maximum of $35. In-out and overnight parking is permitted.
