Learn how lifestyle and activities of daily living impact the feet, hips, thoracic spine, and low-back biomechanics. Taking the time to prep the body is paramount to enhanced performance and injury prevention. This session will cover common assessments and body work strategies to incorporate into client training programs to ensure their minds and bodies are ready to handle the challenges ahead. Mobility without stability equals hypermobility. Stability without mobility equals rigidity. So, how do we create a happy balance between the two, and where do we start? In this session, you’ll learn the various joints and muscles that are involved in achieving both stability and mobility, acquire simple assessment tools to determine which area to emphasize, and see how to create balance between the two. We will also investigate common muscular imbalances and medical conditions you may encounter, and determine which area of focus—stability or mobility—is the safest and most effective for each.

Halo® Training provides overall body conditioning through strength and endurance work, flexibility training, interval training, and injury prevention. In this hands-on workshop, instructors encounter an overview of the concepts of the Halo Training program and the basic science of core-integrated bodyweight training. Because every client has unique demands, learn to deliver basic Halo Training workouts that progress from the level of a beginner client to the mode of an experienced exerciser.
