Everyone has goals they want to attain. Modern-day wisdom indicates that to reach their goals, especially for health and fitness, people need to simply double down on their motivation and willpower. Yet, observation and statistics on the health of our country clearly demonstrate that this approach is not working—not even a little bit! This session translates a half century of behavior-change science into applied techniques so fitness professionals can create real value and lasting results, including how and where these results are delivered.

This session will cover the mechanisms of the eye, ear, and neck muscles, assessment strategies, and how you can implement this newfound knowledge into novel client programming.

Halo® Intro to Interval Training, for a Level 1 Client

This workshop introduces the concept of interval training, and participants explore how to apply the technique in a lower-level group class. Many level-1 clients are unable to tolerate a full 45- to 60-minute high-intensity interval workout, so a slow blending of the method into the group class setting is important. Utilizing the innovative design of the Halo® Trainer Plus and Stability Ball™, participants delve into an introductory-level group class and the means to transition smoothly from one exercise to another, while maximizing flow and building a solid foundation. Help novice clients or those new to Halo Training understand how to implement this system in an interval-style class to enjoy optimal benefits from their workouts.
