Restorative poses are positions or postures that help regulate the autonomic nervous system, foster shape change in the body's structure and create mindfulness. They are prescribed as very specific health and performance interventions that will accelerate recovery, normalize system function and balance allostatic load. Come to this session to learn about the balance of homeostasis and allostasis, why "structure regeneration" is critical to health and performance outcomes, and how to integrate restorative poses into program design using case-based learning.
