It's a well-known fact that resistance training improves strength. Little known, however, is that there are different types of strength, like agile strength, maximal strength, relative strength, starting strength and others. In addition, the development of each type requires a specific exercise training approach. In this interactive session, we will cover the physiology of each, as well as define how each type is distinctly different from the other, and how to best train each type for maximum effect.
Derrick Price has been active on many levels in the health and fitness industry for over 14 years. He holds a Master’s of Science degree in Exercise Science and Health Promotion with an emphasis on injury prevention and performance enhancement from the California University of Pennsylvania where he has also spent time as Adjunct Faculty teaching courses in Exercise Program Design. He has served the fitness industry as an educator and consultant for many companies including NASM, PTA Global, ViPR, Mossa and Technogym to name a few.
