Introducing IDEA® World Club & Studio Summit Virtual: Innovation, Education, Connection

The most powerful industry event of the year comes to you, August 21 and 22.

IDEA World Club and Studio Summit Virtual

Innovation is the key to success in an ever-evolving world, and at no point in recent history has this been more important than now. For the first time ever, the IDEA World Club & Studio Summit will be available in a virtual format so that you can access all the top strategies and best practices you need to secure a lucrative and lasting future for your business—all from the comfort of your club, studio or living room. Over the course of 2 days, the best in the business will be on-hand live to share their strategies for success and to help you overcome the challenges you face now and develop the resilience to face them in the future.

Here’s some of what you can expect at this premier event.

Innovative Format

One of the most important components of IDEA events is the experience of attending a live event, which is why the Club & Studio Summit will be delivered to you in a format that mimics the look and feel of a conference. You won’t find a series of Zoom calls or pre-recorded webinars here. While you are maintaining your physical distance, you will have the opportunity to learn from and chat with presenters in real-time, connect with peers in lounge areas and stroll through the virtual expo hall. While there’s no replacing an in-person event, this is the next best thing.

The Best in Education

IDEA Club & Studio Summit has been a sought-after event for years because attendees consistently walk away with easy-to-implement action plans to overcome the hurdles of operating a successful business as well as how to make it stand out in a crowded marketplace. A stellar lineup of experienced club and studio owners and managers have built and are ready to deliver to you the tried-and-true education you crave.

Read on for a small sample of what awaits you this August.

Navigating and Thriving Through Difficulty

Current events have definitely thrown everyone for a major loop with gym closures impacting the bottom line. In the session, “Best Practices in the New Normal,” a panel of presenters will share what they’ve done to rise the occasion. You’ll learn how to reinvent your business, take advantage of new opportunities both in and out of the studio and the safety measures you can take to create a space where everyone feels comfortable and confident.

How to Get—and Keep—Clients

Have you struggled to attract new clients? Or, perhaps getting new people through your doors is a cinch, but you have a hard time keeping them there. The IDEA World Club & Studio Summit has devoted two sessions to the most important part of any business—the clients. First, San Francisco-based Billy Polson, CSCS, co-owner of Diakadi Fitness, and Matt Wright, MS, vice president of personal training and programming at City Fitness in Philadelphia, will offer effective techniques for building your client roster. You’ll learn how to maximize social media, develop new membership types for the in-person and at-home client, referral systems and more.

To make sure those clients stick around, Mark Fisher, owner of Mark Fisher Fitness and Business for Unicorns in New York will team up with Polson to deliver an easily implementable system from initial orientation to ongoing management that assures they’ll never want to go anywhere else.

Spice Up Your Social Game

Social media has never been more important as potential clients become increasingly engaged in the platforms. But there’s more to building a follow-worthy account than sharing funny memes or helpful tips. Sarah Morrison, communications director at the Bay Athletic Club in Alpena, Michigan, and Nicki Carrigan, owner of Nickie Carrigan Fitness The Warehouse in Rosemount, Minnesota, will give you the lowdown on attention-grabbing content and how to strategize your posting plan so that social media marketing doesn’t become a full-time job.

Other topics include creating a more inclusive space and why that’s good for business, top tips for leading through adversity, the trends that are elevating the industry and more.

Beyond the Education

When you’re not learning and thriving, you can take advantage of thought-provoking general sessions, networking happy hours, breakout discussions on important topics, pulse-pounding workouts and the all-new virtual expo hall where you can experience the latest in products and services and chat with your favorite brands.
