Fitness Business Q1 Check In
As we close out the first quarter of 2022, take a minute to assess, reset and reimagine what’s possible for your fitness business and career.

As we close out Q1 2022, it’s a good time to take a minute to reset and reimagine what’s possible for your fitness business and your career. As ever, time is unapologetically whipping by and waiting for no one.
Today, I’m taking inventory of the optimistic and ambitious list I blazed into 2022 with to see how well I stuck to plan, to celebrate the wins and to fine tune the areas that fell off my radar.
This is a good milestone to look honestly at the big picture and the details, make some decisions and take action. Is everything performing well? Is your team happy and productive? If so, congrats and keep pushing forward. Are your numbers down? Are you challenged by recruitment and retention of staff and clients? Are there other issues derailing your success? Make an honest assessment and do a reset to get your business and career back on track. Today is the first day of the rest of the year!
With that in mind, here are a handful of IDEA business resources and a recent podcast addressing pain points, common challenges and creative solutions that may give your Q2 fitness business planning meaningful direction:
- Top Tech Strategies for Fitness Business Success. Use a sales cycle process–instead of a funnel–and leverage technology to create an evolved, full-scale solution.
- Virtual Team Meetings That Inspire and Motivate. Take staff connections to a new level.
- 5 Ways Fitness Businesses Have Created Revenue in Pandemic Times. Adjusting to COVID-19 restrictions meant virtual classes and outdoor sessions for many fitness businesses, and some got creative.
- Host a Speaking Series. Bolster your bottom line by offering specialty workshops and lectures.
- Should You Open a Second Location? To a successful gym or studio owner, expansion may seem like the next logical step. But will the new venture do as well as the first?
- How to Breed Staff Loyalty. Increase staff retention by hiring the right people and purposefully training them.
- IDEAfit PRO SHOW Podcast: Strong Client Connections = Long-Term Loyalty. My guest Dina Blair is an experienced fitness business consultant with a proven track record of coaching and leading teams to exceed monthly sales initiatives and improve the overall client experience through high-touch service and comprehensive programs.
Happy reading and listening, friends. I hope this trove gives you inspiration and ideas to smooth out your groove or keep it flowing.
