Yoga certification
Hi Christina. Similar to looking into obtaining a personal training certification, I think that what’s important is first deciding what your intended use of the certification is. Looking at the curriculum for a few certifying yoga agencies will give you a great start in deciding which may be best for you.
I hope that this helps.

It really does depend on the focus of yoga you wish to teach. I wanted to instruct yoga to my clientele and classes as a cool down or flexibility session so I wasn’t intent on getting a RYT certification, just an instructors certification. Since then I have instructed large classes and am now looking to get that teachers certification. Keep in mind, if you aren’t living the yoga lifestyle, then an advanced certification isn’t going to make you a more qualified TEACHER. I am an avid practitioner of Vinyasa style yoga but, I do not practice the deep philosophical and dietary beliefs of yoga. Get the certification that reflects you. Research is key.
