I am planning on stepping up my career as a personal trainer and I am considering the Lifestyle & Weight Loss Coach Certification from NESTA. please give me some advice on that or/and which wellness/ lifestyle/ weight loss coach certification would be a good one.
thank you for all your answers! appreciate this
I’m happy to read such positive things about the ACE Health Coach Certification. I’m taking the ACSM CPT exam in 2 weeks and am then going to pursue the health coach certification. I am new to the fitness as a career path, although not new at all to fitness, and would love any advice on using these certifications to get started. I plan to look for an entry level job (even part-time) to get my feet wet then either stick with a company or start to break out on my own. How did you ladies start into the Health Coaching profession?
I too have ACE’s Health Coach Certification and would agree with Christine that it is just the start. I’m really bumping up my education this year.
Look into what you want to add to your personal training business: nutrition, sales, program design, special populations, etc. Then see what the best services are for that.
I’m going more for nutrition and special populations this year. ACE Health Coach certification served as my starting point to see where I wanted to take my business and focus.
I have ACE’s Health Coach Certification and think it’s a great start (for me personally, it’s only the tip of the iceberg for learning and growing). I’ve always been happy with the level of education and professional resources available to me through ACE. It has served me well so far.
Best wishes to you!
