Would like to know the average pay expected for a group exercise coordinator, average 10-15 hours per week, not including classe
Hi Linda,
I believe is in the range of $9-$12/hr, depending on your experience. You should make close to $20+/hr for any class you will be teaching. The YMCA is a great organization, but since they are for not-profit, they don’t pay as much as a private gym.
You can always ask them before you accept the position (if you haven’t already).
Best,
Harris
Hi Linda. As others have noted, there are many factors involved in deciding how much to charge or expect for these services. In addition to what others have cited, I would look closely at what the duties of the position are, how many people you will be coordinating, and any ‘off-the-clock’ time that you are expected to put in. Factor all of these things in and then take a look at what the people you’d be coordinating makes. I would expect as the coordinator you should be making at least a bit more than they do.
I hope that this helps.

Where I am located you can expect anything from 15-30/class. It depends on how much experience and education you have and how many participants you have in class. The better you are, the more you will make. It is not a high-paying job, so I would suggest teaching classes in addition to training clients.
