Would it be cool if there was a gym for tweens and teens only?
What if there was a private gym for tweens and teens to workout under supervision. Where they can come and enjoy themselves but still work out at the same time. There would be a pool and café that served low calorie meals as well. Also the equipment would be professional. The teens would learn how to use it carefully and correctly though. This business would except ages 11-18. There would be a facility for males and a facility for females so no one feels unconftorable as well.
Hi Kennedy,
I have the same thought as Susan. Such a gym would be practically empty during school hours. While I see it as a wonderful dream, I also see a lot of obstacles that would stand of the way to make this dream a reality. Cost is probably the greatest factor.

In a world where email and messaging abound, this age group does well to mingle with all age groups and perhaps learn about the art of conversation and how to interact. Perhaps we should look at the time they spend for physical fitness as an opportunity to connect with and learn from people who can share wisdom and help their growth process.
Yes, it is a great idea Kennedy, but not a practical one if you’re just targeting this age group. They’re in school 9 months/year till 3 PM or so. During the school year, they’re only available during the week from 3:30 PM to early – mid evening at best and weekends. That is if they don’t have any other activities – now you really have a limited audience. Summers – definitely more free time for them but it’s only 3 mos. As I said, I think it’s a great concept, but you have to have programming for other age groups (their parents) to fill the down time. Don’t let me rain on your parade though, come up with a solution to make it work if that’s what you want to do. Best of luck!
