Last year the conference was Thursday through Saturday. For those who aren’t in the full time fitness industry, that is one more day to take off of work to attend. I wasn’t sure if it was a booking conflict or that many full time fitness pros use their Saturdays for their clients. It would make sense. Thank you for the information!
I was asking that very question when I attended the conference this year and was contemplating signing up for 2015. I was told that it was a booking conflict, and that those days were the best they could do.
Speaking only for myself, I have my clients during the week for the most part, and this schedule impacts me in the way that I am losing much more income through missed sessions than a conference on the weekend.
Everyone’s client base is different, so it would be really hard for them to schedule any training at all if they worried about that. Saturday is my big revenue day, so W-F works great for me, but disadvantages others.
Looking forward to attending either PTI-W or IDEA World in 2015. I missed this year due to conflicting conferences and am really looking forward to returning to an IDEA training.
Now, if the powers that be in Zumba and IDEA could please check with each other before booking conferences in future years, that would be great, LOL!
