Who do I contact about doing training/bootcamps for touring broadway shows?
In addition to being a trainer/fitness instructor, I’m also an actor. It’s actually why I got into fitness in the first place, because actors need to be fit and healthy. Especially touring company actors/dancers, as they often don’t have a facility for use when going from city to city.
I would like to be able to get in contact with the right people/person to talk to about offering my training/bootcamp services to the [actor/dancers in] touring shows that come to major cities (Seattle, Paramount theatre to be exact). Does anyone have experience with this, or have suggestions in how to contact either the touring company or the theatre itself (i.e., who at a theatre). Thanks!!
Hi Rachel,
I would think that the actors’ managers/agency would be the best choice for a contact and for the theater I would call their office directly to ask them who the right person might be. If non of the above works then contacting any of the above people should be a able to direct you to the right person. Of course if you have the ability to ask any of the actors directly they might be able to give you a contact person as well. I hope this helps.
Best,
Harris
Hello Rachel Sedwick,
Harris Sophocleous gives you some great advice. You may do very well speaking to the actors, actresses and dancers about what you offer. If you let others see you training the clients, the word will spread quickly. Even if you are training only one person, do not be discouraged; we all start somewhere. Pour all your energy into helping that one person and the rest shall follow. Good luck and enjoy.
Take care,
Natalie aka NAPS 2 B Fit.
