which is better 24 hour or la fitness
Hi, It all depends on what you’re looking for. I started out working and training myself @ a Big Box Gym. I’m now split my time with private clients and as a trainer @ a university.
Box gyms have a lot of generic stuff and they prvide a lot of basic things as in pools, group classes etc. If you want a specific type of training, look for a functional based gym or sports related training facility. It looks like you are in California? If you are check out California Strength and Allyn Cosgrove’s facility to get the idea of what I’m talking about.
Hope this helps
Hi Dereck. As previously stated, what’s ‘best’ will be what’s best for you, and this depends a lot on what your specific needs/goals are. Most large fitness facilities will offer very much of the same (e.g. resistance equipment, aerobic equipment, group exercise classes, personal training etc.). A lot will (may) come down to some of the ‘other things’ such as parking, expertise of the staff/trainers, how crowded it gets, the types of classes they offer, cleanliness, etc. These ‘other things’ are quite often what separates one large gym from another.
As suggested, I would recommend that you try a trial use of each. I would also add, that you should visit each gym at the time of day you think that you will typically use it so that you get an idea about some of the things I mentioned above (i.e. parking, how crowded etc.).
I hope that this helps.
