Where is the best place for trainers to purchase fitness equipment?
I have purchased and been in on purchasing decisions for myself and several other locations (Parks and Rec, clubs, studios). I advise you to decide on several different pieces that will fit your needs (different makers and models that are able to meet your absolute needs). Then search for best price (including shipping). I have found that the exact same piece of equipment can cost much more and much less depending on the dealer. I almost never buy directly from the manufacturer because they are rarely the best deal. Make sure that you still are covered on the warranty from the manufacturer as well.
And if you are good at maintaining equipment, you may consider buying used and refurbished. This can reduce the cost significantly. And replacing parts on most machines is not difficult.
When it comes to equipment, the best value will come by asking a service technician you might see working on the equipment. Most of them know where or how to get you the best deal. I come from a family of world known technicians and can help you with all your needs.
