I’m actually from Northeast, PA originally. Most gyms in NEPA set up a structure where you have to work there as an employee in addition to training. At least, this was the case the last I knew. I would suggest calling a handful of local gyms and see what their structure is. Tell them you have 10-plus years experience in the fitness industry, just recently got certified through AFAA and are looking to train. My advice is to stay independent. Often times, a gym will want you to sell your soul to them, and them only. Unless they are going to offer you a great cut and possibly clients from the get-go, resist this urge. It is more in your favor to have the latitude to bounce around freely from gym to gym, and house to house. You will definitely make the most income by training in home. This will depend of course on what equipment and background you have. If you need any more information, feel free to give me a shout back.
Have a great day,
