Many of the trainers I know have a trainer themselves; someone else will be able to see you more objectively than you see yourself, after all. Also it will benefit you as a trainer to learn from working with someone who may have a different perspective or skill set, or just more experience than you yourself have. It’s hard at times to judge your own form, and there’s no easier way to get help than by paying for it. 🙂 Ask about mentoring or shadowing first, but if you can get an intro deal on a few sessions from someone at your gym: try it and see if you think it would be a worthwhile pursuit.
Thank you for your responses Natalie and Jade. I will take your advice and give it a try. I am more looking for a mentor who can help me get my career started. I’m having a hard time figuring out how to get started. I’m am currently living in Germany so it’s making things even harder. Any suggestions would be appreciated thanks again.
