As a professional personal trainer, what do you think is the most frustrating part of operating the business? Is it finding new clients/making yourself known online/offline, managing the existing clients (communication, scheduling training sessions, etc.), or anything else? Is there anything you think technology can help alleviate such a problem?
Oh my gosh how refreshing to see some people are in the same boat as me!! I love my clients and my job! I find it to be fullfilling as well as challenging (coming up with workout routines for somone whose restrictions include: no squatting, no bending, no twisting, no walking for more than ten minutes, no lifting heavier than ten pounds! Whew!) Anyways. As for frustrations I get somewhat frustrated with cancelations. Yes I am getting paid. However, I do have clients that cancel often (or don’t show without calling) and I get annoyed. I have clients who tell me they want to lose weight and then tell me they went out to eat all weekend. Also I have clients who come in with some want/need to lose weight and they complain the whole session. Things like that are sort of frustrating, but only because of what was mentioned above. I care about my clients and I really would like them to care about themselves and their health as well. You can only tell them so much and the rest they have to do on their own.
