I agree. Becoming a Registered Dietician is the only legitimate way to provide more than the basic nutritional guidelines to clients. Our offering more than the basic information could lead to legal issues. And lead to RDs seeking regulations to restrict us in the near future. I have always referred clients to RDs when they want to be told specifically what to eat.
For a CERTIFICATION I would take the ACE Nutrition Certification or the Precision Nutrition Certification. An RD is a REGISTERED DIETITIAN. This is NOT a certification. This is a degreed program that you get through a University like a Nurse is an RN. Same concept only different degree. Hope this helps!
